Glooping Ooze Plushie Army Invades

Our only line of defense: Ivy!

Ivy refused to attack the Ooze, and instead napped next to it.  

As you can see, it's a big and fluffy plush, and we're really happy with how it came out! Box for scale, in case you do not know the size of our cat:

 We manufactured 500 of the oozes, which you can still order via the BackerKit. You can even amend your existing order to include one! BackerKit's super flexible about order changes. We're going to be able to extend the dates for the BackerKit as well, but we'll have more information on that soon. Basically - you'll be able to update your order until close to shipping time. We partnered with Symbiote Studios, who really did a fantastic job on them. If you need amazing plushies, they are definitely the place to go! You can see that the lines are a little bit lighter on the finished ones, as opposed to the straight black on our prototype. It took a few times to get it just right!

Later tonight, we'll be pressing the button that sends out survey emails to everyone to invite you to the post-campaign BackerKit website. We've spent a while configuring it, and you'll be able to fully customize your pledge on the website. You can also use it to simply enter in your address (and update your address this summer if needed!)

Add-ons

As a backer, the amount of money you pledged and the items you backed for will be pre-loaded into BackerKit. So, if you are in the US pledged at the $30 level for Forest of Shadows + a v1.5 upgrade kit, the system will know that you've paid $35 (including shipping).

After you confirm your country (you *can* change your shipping destination at this time!) you'll be brought in to the main BackerKit store page. On the right side of the screen there will be a summary of the items your pledge level entitles you to:

A simple web-store interface will show you all the items that you can add-on, and they'll get placed into an add-on shopping cart:

When you're all done, BackerKit will tally up the amount you pledged, and the cost of all the items you pledged for or added on, and add shipping (still the same flat rate regardless of the number of items you purchased!)

If you've added items, the system will take your credit card but *not* charge it yet. Cards aren't charged until the end of the survey period at the end of June.

Changing Pledge Levels / Custom Orders

If you've decided that you want to change your pledge level entirely, or if you pledged at the $1 level, you can fully customize your order. On that very first screen is a button titled "Want to switch your pledge level?"

By pressing it, you can change to the $0 reward level, basically meaning that you'll rebuild your pledge from scratch. Don't worry though, the money you pledged on Kickstarter will still be applied to your new custom order.

Once you've selected the $0 level, you'll enter the store just like other backers above, and be able to pick and choose all the shiny One Deck Dungeon things you want!

Plushie Update

 Another revision of the plushie prototype is done, and it's pretty much finalized:

It's awesome and we're so very excited to produce them! Plushies are currently limited in BackerKit to 500 - but if we approach that limit quickly we will extend the print run to more. Everyone deserves a Glooping Ooze, right?

Just a quick update on the waiting game, and what's going on!

After a Kickstarter campaign concludes, there's a 14 day waiting period before they finish charging all the credit cards. If a card gets declined for any reason, a backer has 2 weeks to fix the problem so they don't lose out on their pledge. Until that process is complete, funds aren't released and more importantly - we can't start collecting info because we don't have that finalized list of backers. 

As soon as that's done, we'll be launching our BackerKit website. It'll allow you all to specify exactly what your pledge was for, if you pledged for add-ons. It'll also allow you to add on more things if you've since decided that you want more things! It's pretty neat.

Good News, Everyone!

In half a day we've gotten 300 likes and comments on the Glooping Ooze plushie post, and I'm going to say that's plenty to display desire to have them made. So consider the glooping ooze UNLOCKED! You can have your very own adorably deadly plush for a $20 add-on (also available in the BackerKit)

Today at 5 we'll be on Twitch for the final countdown! But not with the Final Countdown song, because that'd get us sued for royalties probably. You *can* hum the song on your own, though. That, as always, is royalty-free*.

Thanks to each and every backer for supporting and making this game the huge success that it has become! We couldn't do what we do without the support of all of you, and we hope you enjoy both One Deck Dungeon and the other games we've got coming up in the future (Odysseys!)

Kickstarter Charges

Between now and the next 10 days, Kickstarter should run your credit card, and send you email if there's any issue. Feel free to contact us if there are any significant problems.

BackerKit

Our goal is to have the BackerKit website for Forest of Shadows ready to go right after the credit card period ends, in a couple weeks. Once it's open, you'll be able to:

• Enter your address
• Addon more games, plushies, or playmats
• Change your pledge type (from paper to plastic)
• Pay directly for any additional items you've purchased

It's a simple little site, and when it's up we'll have instructions for how it all works.

Playtesting and Polishing

We aim to go to print right after Origins (June 14-18) where we'll be doing a final round of playtesting. We're mostly done but there're always a few rough edges to clean up.

If you are coming to Origins, come say hello! We'll be out and about in the convention, and doing some demos at the Foam Brain Games booth in the expo hall.
